Skincare Is Self Care | Night Skincare Routine

I have been incredibly open these past few weeks about how I have taken steps to prioritize my mental health. I started back with my therapist weekly and we have been setting goals and one of the goals I have been working on is making self care a part of my daily routine.

As most of you know, back in December and January we got completely swamped before we could pull things back. I spent literally ALL of December and January working from 8:30am to 11:30pm at the Pink House. I wouldn’t get home till around midnight where I would instantly crash in bed. This obviously was so unhealthy but it needed to be done to get out as many orders as possible.

So as we slowly start to dig ourselves out of the backlog of orders (we are allllmostt there) I have been working on taking better care of me and I’ve fallen back in love with skin care. Doing my skincare routine every day helps me feel fresh and gives me about 15 minutes of quiet time to myself. I’m excited to share with you the products I’ve been using. I like to keep my skincare routine pretty simple and everything is super affordable, like $30 at most!

Step 1 | Cleanse - Once I put my girls to bed I start by washing my face with this cleanser I’ve been using for about a year and a half now! It’s super mild and doesn’t have a strong smell which I love. I am super sensitive to smells especially in skincare products because they live right by my nose! Haha

Step 2 | Moisturize - I typically wash my face in the shower at night so once I get out of the shower I apply this lotion that I picked up at Target. Seriously one of the BEST smelling products I have ever used. It’s under $10 and I love that I can easily grab it during my regular runs to the store. It’s paraben free and not tested on animals which I love!

I also have been getting really dry skin on my sides and lower back, sorry if thats TMI but it’s true! I found this eczema lotion and was skeptical at first but I have been using it for a month now and already see a major difference in my skin. I will continue to use this because it’s a game changer for extra dry skin.

Step 3 | Microneedle - My biggest skin care must have is this handy little tool. I got my GloPro three years ago and it changed my skin entirely. I used to suffer terribly from breakouts but this cleared up my skin completely in just a few months. I don’t use it every night, just twice a week. It’s a little pricey but definitely worth the money and has lasted me YEARS!

Step 4 | Apply Serum - At night I really like to indulge my skin by using a face oil or serum. I just ran out of this GlamGlow one I was using for about 6 months and am about to order this vitamin C serum. I haven’t tried it yet but I love it’s clean beauty! I will keep you posted on how I like it!

Step 5 | Eye Love - As I mentioned before, I have been working crazy long nights and my under eyes have suffered from it. This eye cream has been my life saver! Super moisturizing and helps me feel refreshed!

Step 6 | Cream/Moisturizer - My skin can be so dry because working in the Pink House with all the paper and chipboard really takes the moisture out of air. I have been using this energizing cream every night and it feels AH-MAZINGGGGG on the skin. My hubby loves it and sometimes I “lose” it only to find it in his bathroom drawer. Haha!

And that my friends is it! Takes me about 10 minutes and really helps! xx
